The Wacker Group to expand its Charleston, Tennessee operations

The Wacker Group, a global polysilicon producer, announced plans to expand its Charleston, Tennessee operations. The company represents Tennessee’s largest plant investment, with plans for the latest addition to create 50 new jobs and $150 million investment in a new facility producing pyrogenic silica. Economic development partners include Cleveland-Bradley Chamber of Commerce, Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, and TVA Industrial Marketing. This project helps further TVA’s mission to serve the people of the Valley by creating a better quality of life.
