Amazon, a global e-commerce company, announced plans to establish operations in Lee County, Mississippi. The company plans to locate its Last-Mile Facility in a new Saltillo facility supported by TVA InvestPrep. Economic Development partners include Tombigbee Electric Power Association, Community Development Foundation, and the Mississippi Development Authority. This project furthers TVA’s mission of service to help improve the quality of life for the people of the Valley.
Axle Logistics, LLC, a Tennessee-based, third-party logistics company, announced plans to expand operations in Knoxville. Plans for the project include creating more than 650 new jobs and investing nearly $38 million in the company’s Knoxville headquarters. Economic development partners include Knoxville Utilities Board, Knox County mayor’s office, Knox County Commission, Knox County Industrial Development Board, City of Knoxville, Knoxville Chamber and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. This project furthers TVA’s mission of service to help improve the quality of life for the people of the Valley.
