Sinova Global announced plans to establish operations in Lake County, Tennessee

Sinova Global, a silicon metal producer, announced plans to establish operations in Lake County, Tennessee. Plans for the project include creating 140 new jobs and investing $150 million in the new state-of-the-art silicon metal refining plant. The silicon metal produced at the Tiptonville plant will be used to manufacture silicone anode batteries, solar cells, semiconductors and aluminum and is named as a building block of the clean energy transformation. Economic development partners include Gibson Electric Membership Corporation, Reelfoot Area Chamber, City of Tiptonville, Lake County and Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. This impactful project furthers TVA’s mission of service to help improve the quality of life for the people of the Valley.
