Siemens Healthineers, a global technology company, announced plans to expand operations in Blount County, Tennessee. Plans for the project include creating more than 90 new jobs and investing $43.6 million in the company’s Molecular Imaging PET Detector Center for research and development and material production. Economic Development partners include Maryville Electric Department, the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, Blount Partnership, Blount County, City of Maryville, East Tennessee Economic Development Agency, and TVA. This project furthers TVA’s mission of service to help improve the quality of life for the people of the Valley through job creation.
