General Atomics, an advanced technologies manufacturer for the defense industry, announced plans to expand operations in Lee County, Mississippi. The company plans to create 125 new jobs and invest $87 million to expand production capabilities at its Shannon facility. Economic development partners include the Tombigbee Electric Power Association, Community Development Foundation, Mississippi Development Authority, and TVA. This project furthers TVA’s mission of service to help improve the quality of life for the people of the Valley through job creation.
