Oklo Inc., an advanced nuclear technology company, announced plans to establish operations in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Plans for the project include creating more than 800 new jobs and investing $1.7 billion, which includes the development of an advanced nuclear fuel recycling facility. This announcement establishes Oklo as the nation’s first privately funded nuclear recycling facility, providing a durable, domestic fuel supply for advanced reactors. Economic development partners include Oak Ridge Electric Department, U.S. Department of Energy, Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, Oak Ridge Corridor Development Corporation, East Tennessee Development Agency, Roane County, and the City of Oak Ridge. MAHLE GmbH, an automotive supplier of electric compressors, announced plans to expand operations in Hamblen County. Plans for the project include investing $10 million and creating 50 new jobs, which will bring the company’s total headcount to nearly 800 people at its Morristown facility. Economic development partners include Morristown Utility System, Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. Parsons Corporation, a defense and intelligence contractor, announced plans to expand their presence in Huntsville, AL. Plans for the project include creating 198 new jobs and investing more than $5 million. Economic development partners include Huntsville Utilities, City of Huntsville, Alabama Department of Commerce, and the Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce. Performance Drones Works, PDW, a robotics manufacturer for military and government operations, announced plans to expand its manufacturing operation in Huntsville, AL. Plans for the project include creating 525 new jobs and investing more than $9 million. Economic development partners include Huntsville Utilities, City of Huntsville, Alabama Department of Commerce, and the Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce. Hitachi Energy, a global producer of transformer components and power grid products, announced plans to expand operations in Crockett County, Tennessee. Plans for the project include creating 100 new jobs and investing $97 million in the company’s Alamo facility. Economic development partners include Gibson Electric Membership Corporation, Crockett County Chamber of Commerce, and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. ValorFlex Holdings, a leader in manufacturing, real estate and energy resource innovation, announced plans to establish headquarter operations in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Plans for the project include creating 25 new jobs and investing more than $6 million in the company’s new corporate headquarters. Economic development partners include Warren RECC, Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development. Vibrant Health Products, Inc., an organic food products producer, announced plans to establish its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Fayette County, Tennessee. Plans for the project include creating 394 new jobs and investing $48.5 million in the company’s operations. Economic development partners include Chickasaw Electric Cooperative, Greater Memphis Chamber, City of Rossville, Fayette County and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. Master Machine, LLC, a system design and manufacturer of products primarily for nuclear-focused industries, announced plans to expand operations in Hamilton County. Plans for the project include creating 44 new jobs and investing $12 million in the company’s Chattanooga operations. Economic development partners include EPB, Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, Hamilton County, the city of Chattanooga, and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.
