Amazon plans to locate its newest, high-tech fulfillment center in Memphis, Tennessee

Amazon, a leading global electronic commerce and cloud computing company, announced plans to locate its newest, high-tech fulfillment center in Memphis, Tennessee. Plans for the project include the creation of 1,000 new, quality jobs (*and $200 million in capital investment). This site will be the first in Tennessee to utilize innovative Amazon Robotics technology. Economic development partners include Memphis Light Gas and Water, Greater Memphis Chamber, City of Memphis, Shelby County, Memphis Shelby County EDGE, and Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. This project helps further TVA’s mission to serve the people of the Valley by creating a better quality of life.
