Ford Motor Company announced plans to locate its new Electric Vehicle and battery plant in Stanton, Tennessee

Ford Motor Company, a leading American automotive manufacturer, along with SK Innovation announced plans to locate its new Electric Vehicle and battery plant in Stanton, Tennessee. Plans for the company’s largest, most advanced, most efficient auto production complex include creating nearly 6,000 jobs and investing $5.6 billion to build next-generation zero-emission vehicles on the nearly 6-square mile Memphis Regional Megasite. The project represents the largest investment in TVA Economic Development history and will be located on a TVA certified Megasite in west Tennessee. Economic development partners include Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, Chickasaw Electric Cooperative, Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation, and HTL Advantage. This impactful project helps further TVA’s mission of service by helping improve the quality of life for the people of the Valley.
