Volkswagen to expand operations in Chattanooga, Tennessee

January 14, 2019 – Volkswagen, a leading global automotive manufacturer, announced plans to expand operations at its Chattanooga, Tennessee facility. Plans for the project include 1,000 new jobs, $800 million investment, with the potential to add approximately 20 MW of new load, to produce the company’s first electric vehicle in North America. Economic development partners include EPB, Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Chattanooga and Hamilton County.
